Is the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback highlights dependability, and the review summary also points to a trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers. That combination suggests you can count on this model for family use if you choose a well-kept example. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is buying a vehicle with hidden wear or poor maintenance history, so condition matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Chevrolet Traverse?

At 64.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a trusted mechanic. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and how well the interior and technology systems have been maintained. Because this model is often bought for family duty, it’s worth paying extra attention to wear from heavy daily use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate market, so selective buyers can still find value if they shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,321 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.43% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,976, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $16,976 sits slightly below last year's $19,166.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current trend means you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. Well-kept examples should still attract family buyers because this model's space and practicality remain major selling points.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.43% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $14,919, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $16,976 average.
• The redesign brought a larger, more useful, and more efficient package.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2018 is the better value play, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
