How much does the 2019 Cadillac XT4 cost?

Is the 2019 Cadillac XT4 a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Cadillac XT4 earns a 4.56/5 user rating and a 6.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Form and function.

Owners consistently praise its beautiful design, comfortable ride, user-friendly controls, and good value. That lines up with the XT4’s role as Cadillac’s all-new compact crossover, built to give you a stylish, premium-feeling small SUV that is easy to live with every day. The market also shows 35.5% of listings as good or great deals, which supports its appeal if you want a luxury crossover with broad shopper interest.

Is the 2019 Cadillac XT4 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.56/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with repeated praise for comfort, usability, and value that suggests many drivers feel confident living with it over time. The expert evaluation also describes it as a fresh, brand-new vehicle rather than a simple rebadge, which supports the sense that Cadillac aimed for a more thoughtful long-term product. The main ownership risk for used buyers is that some desirable equipment sits on the options list, so condition and equipment verification matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Cadillac XT4?

At 73.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, glass, and panel alignment. Because some of the XT4’s most useful features were optional, you should also confirm the exact equipment on the specific car you’re considering. Pay close attention to ride quality, visibility, and whether the car has the convenience and safety features you expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Luxury trim includes LED headlights, keyless entry and ignition with remote start, dual-zone automatic climate controls, a 7-speaker stereo with satellite radio, and an 8-inch touchscreen, but it skips features like auto wipers and mirrors, a driver memory system, parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and a power liftgate. The Premium Luxury trim adds those missing conveniences, while the Sport trim layers on LED turn signals, front cornering lamps, a sport steering wheel, sport front seats, and unique faux leather.
• Powertrain: The XT4 uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque paired with a 9-speed automatic. It is quick off the line, but the transmission can hunt in low-speed traffic, and AWD is recommended if you want better traction.
• Safety package: The Driver Awareness package adds forward-collision alert with pedestrian detection, automatic braking, lane-keeping warning and assist, auto high beams, and a following-distance indicator. The Drive Assist package adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go plus forward and reverse automatic emergency braking.
• Infotainment: You get an 8-inch touchscreen with Cadillac’s CUE system, plus standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. USB-C ports are included, and some features such as navigation, wireless charging, and the head-up display are part of optional packages.
• Fuel efficiency: The XT4 is rated at 27 mpg combined in FWD form and 24 mpg combined with AWD.

Which 2019 Cadillac XT4 trim should I buy?

The 2019 Cadillac XT4 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core XT4 experience with LED headlights, remote start, dual-zone climate control, satellite radio, and the 8-inch touchscreen. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price, but you should be aware that several expected luxury features are missing here.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim because it adds many of the convenience and comfort features that feel like they should have been standard, including parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, a power liftgate, auto wipers and mirrors, a driver memory system, and a rear cargo cover.
• Sport: This trim is for you if you want the most distinctive appearance and a more aggressive cabin feel, with sport front seats, a sport steering wheel, faux leather trim, and extra exterior lighting details. It also pairs well with the available performance-oriented options, but it is not the value pick.

For safety equipment, the most useful driver-assistance features remain tied to the available packages rather than the trim itself, so check the option list carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Cadillac XT4?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 716 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,778, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Cadillac XT4's resale value?

The current average of $18,778 sits slightly below last year's $20,653.

That decline suggests the XT4 has become more affordable for buyers, which can make it easier to move if you price yours competitively later. For you as a future seller, the softer market means condition, mileage, and equipment will matter even more when it comes time to list the vehicle. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, especially for a luxury crossover with broad everyday appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.56/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Cadillac XT4 safe?

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

The XT4 has not been tested by either NHTSA or IIHS, so there are no crash-test ratings to cite here. Cadillac does offer useful driver-assistance equipment, including forward-collision alert with pedestrian detection, automatic braking, lane-keeping warning and assist, auto high beams, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, and forward and reverse automatic emergency braking. The caveat is that many of these features are optional, so you need to verify that the specific used XT4 you’re considering actually has them.

Should I buy a 2019 Cadillac XT4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.56/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Expert testing highlights its fresh, all-new compact-crossover design and strong everyday usability.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $19,808, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $18,778 average.
• It is described as stylish, comfortable, useful, and easy to like.

The bottom line: If you want the lower price and a broad selection, the 2019 is the better value-oriented choice. If you’re willing to spend more for a slightly newer model year, the 2020 is the cleaner alternative for shoppers who prioritize its more approachable personality and broader appeal.
