How much does the 2019 BMW X3 cost?

Prices have softened 10.26% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,895 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and condition.

Is the 2019 BMW X3 a good car?

Yes — the 4.78/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the powerful performance, comfortable ride, advanced features, and high-quality interior, while the overview also highlights its sporty, carlike driving feel and everyday practicality. If you want a compact luxury SUV that feels engaging to drive without giving up usefulness, this model year fits that use case well. With 36.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2019 BMW X3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.78/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise centered on comfort, performance, and the premium cabin. That said, some reviewers mention firm ride quality and higher costs for optional features, which can affect the day-to-day ownership experience even when the vehicle itself feels solid. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright satisfaction and more about keeping ownership costs and condition in check as the miles add up.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 BMW X3?

At 73.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the car’s structural and mechanical condition. Focus on signs of prior bodywork, uneven panel gaps, tire wear, suspension feel, and any evidence that the premium electronics or climate systems have been stressed. Because this model can carry higher maintenance and repair costs, condition matters more than usual when you’re comparing similar listings.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 BMW X3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,895 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.26% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,075, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 BMW X3's resale value?

The current average of $18,075 sits slightly below last year's $20,141.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the model easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. For future resale, condition and documentation will matter a lot, especially because buyers in this segment tend to compare clean, well-kept examples closely. A well-maintained X3 with strong presentation should hold demand better than one with visible wear or a questionable history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.78/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 BMW X3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.26% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.78/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $17,921, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $18,075 average.
• It offers the appeal of a fully redesigned third-generation X3.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around shopping position, the 2019 is the better primary target because pricing has eased and owner satisfaction is strong. If your priority is saving a bit more upfront, the 2018 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition and can verify its history carefully.
