How much does the 2018 Volvo XC90 cost?

There are 1,080 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2018 Volvo XC90 a good car?

Yes — the 4.78/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its exceptional safety features, luxurious interior, and strong performance, and many also appreciate the reliability and family-friendly practicality. That fits especially well if you want a luxury midsize SUV with three-row versatility, upscale materials, and a safety-first focus. With 36.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a compelling offer.

Is the 2018 Volvo XC90 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.78/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also highlights reliability and a trouble-free ownership experience, with many drivers saying they feel confident counting on it over time. That said, you should still expect the ownership profile of a European luxury SUV, so a careful pre-purchase inspection matters if you want to reduce long-term repair risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Volvo XC90?

At 70.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body panels, alignment, and signs of inconsistent wear, then make sure the cabin electronics and infotainment system work as expected. Because this is a luxury SUV, condition matters a lot, so focus on maintenance records and overall care as much as mileage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Volvo XC90?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,080 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.15% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,183, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Volvo XC90's resale value?

The current average of $17,183 sits slightly below last year's $19,558.

That price movement suggests the model has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market than they would have a year ago. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can help protect your exit value later. Strong maintenance records and clean history will matter even more if you want to stand out in a market with plenty of inventory.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.78/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Volvo XC90 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.78/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a strong choice if you want a well-liked XC90 with a softer price than last year and enough inventory to shop selectively. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2018 stands out as a balanced pick when you want a luxury three-row SUV with strong owner approval and a more favorable market position.
