Why it stands out
The 2018 Toyota Tundra competes effectively in the full-size truck market against traditional American rivals like the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, and Ram 1500. This generation marks a significant evolution in terms of styling, size, and capabilities, with a reputation for reliability that appeals to both work and daily driving needs. The Tundra’s robust build quality and bulletproof reliability make it a choice that many buyers value over time, contributing to strong resale values. Notable features include a spacious interior, especially in higher trims like the 1794 Edition, which adds luxury and modern technology. While some criticisms focus on its outdated tech and relatively poor fuel economy, the overall satisfaction of drivers highlights the Tundra's compelling driving experience and solid performance.

Toyota Tundra is what expected of from a towing capacity of a powered V8 / 5.7L 4 × 4 vehicle. Lots of leg room.

Toyotas are generally bullet proof. This is my fourth and it has basically solidified a brand-loyalty when car shopping. The Tundra is a terrific truck. Almost everything an F150, Sierra or Ram can do, the Tundra does better. It definitely rides better than any truck out there. It tows just like the others, hauls just like the others and looks better than the others. It is a rather thirsty truck however. I get 15-17 city/highway like clockwork. Not great mileage but let me qualify that by saying that those numbers are consistent no matter how Im driving. The Tundra is easily modified should you choose to do so. Ive put a cold air intake and stainless, aftermarket exhaust on mine and it has definitely improved already good performance. Those mods were easily done at home too. I say get a Tundra before the new breed of six cylinder supplants the V8 and hang on to it!
