Used 2018 RAM 3500 for Sale nearTrenton, NJ

How much does the 2018 RAM 3500 cost?

Prices have softened 11.24% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 788 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of trucks to compare.

Is the 2018 RAM 3500 a good car?

Yes — the 2018 RAM 3500 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its heavy-towing capability, comfortable ride, sturdy build, and thoughtful design, and they also note its fuel economy for a large truck. That fits the truck’s role well if you want serious capability with more comfort and convenience than a bare-bones heavy-duty work truck. With 31.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive listing.

Is the 2018 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback emphasizes dependable performance, strong build quality, and a truck that feels well suited to heavy towing and everyday use. Reviews also suggest it can be trouble-free enough that major complaints are uncommon among owners. For used buyers, that kind of satisfaction can reduce long-term ownership risk, though you should still verify maintenance history and condition before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 RAM 3500?

At 67.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership history. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the truck’s frame, body, and any signs of prior repair work, since condition matters a lot in a heavy-duty truck. It also makes sense to focus on how the truck was used and maintained, because towing and work use can affect wear in ways that aren’t obvious from photos alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 788 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.24% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 67.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,409, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $35,480 sits slightly below last year's $39,974.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you’re thinking about future resale, the current pricing trend means condition, mileage, and equipment will matter even more when it’s time to sell. Trucks that are well maintained and presented cleanly should stand out more in a market where values have already eased.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.24% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a strong choice if you want a heavy-duty truck with strong owner satisfaction and a market that currently offers some pricing relief. If you’re more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, history, and deal quality rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
