Used 2018 RAM 3500 for Sale near New Mexico

How much does the 2018 RAM 3500 cost?

Prices have softened 8.83% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 780 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2018 RAM 3500 a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 5/5, which is a strong signal that it delivers on what heavy-duty buyers want. Reviews consistently point to performance and power, heavy towing capability, and a comfortable ride, while also praising its sturdy build and thoughtful design. That lines up well if you want a truck that can handle demanding work while still feeling more refined inside. With 28.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also emphasizes that owners find it reliable, dependable, and trouble-free in the sense that they remain very satisfied with the truck over time. That kind of feedback matters for a heavy-duty pickup, where you want confidence that the truck can keep doing hard work without constant drama. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about owner sentiment and more about making sure any individual truck has been maintained properly and hasn’t been worn down by hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 RAM 3500?

At 67.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership patterns before you get too far into the process. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the truck’s condition, especially signs of heavy-duty wear, because a truck like this may have been used hard even if it looks clean in photos. Focus on overall mechanical and cosmetic condition rather than just mileage, since how the truck was used can matter as much as how far it has traveled.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 780 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.83% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 67.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,409, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $36,185 sits slightly below last year's $39,690.

That softer pricing suggests the truck has become a bit easier for buyers to access, which can help demand in the near term. For a future seller, that means you may not see the same pricing strength you would have a year ago, especially if the truck has average condition or a less desirable history. On the other hand, a well-kept example with strong equipment and clean records should still appeal to shoppers who want serious capability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck with strong owner satisfaction, a comfortable ride, and a market that has softened enough to create some buying opportunities, the 2018 is the primary year to focus on. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also use nearby years as comparison points, but the 2018 stands out as a balanced choice when you want capability and value in the same package.
