How much does the 2018 Porsche Cayenne cost?

There are 602 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used Cayennes to compare.

Is the 2018 Porsche Cayenne a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2018 Porsche Cayenne, and it fits a luxury SUV that blends strong performance with the polish expected from Porsche. The overview also points to solid construction and dependable ownership, while noting that the Cayenne feels more athletic than many rivals. For you, that means this model year makes the most sense if you want a sporty, refined SUV and are comfortable with higher running costs and limited cargo capacity. The market also shows 34.2% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Porsche Cayenne reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview describes the Cayenne as one of the more reliable choices in its class, with solid construction and dependable ownership as part of its appeal. It also notes that the model’s premium positioning comes with expensive maintenance and that out-of-warranty repairs can be costly. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is not basic durability so much as the potential expense of keeping it in top shape once warranty coverage ends.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Porsche Cayenne?

At 72.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you get too far into the process. A pre-purchase inspection should be a priority, especially because maintenance and repairs can be expensive on this model. Focus closely on overall condition, since a well-kept example matters more when you’re buying a premium SUV with potentially high ownership costs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Porsche Cayenne?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 602 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.35% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,831, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Porsche Cayenne's resale value?

The current average of $21,838 sits slightly below last year's $24,633.

That price movement suggests the Cayenne has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. Because the market has softened, your resale outcome will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. A well-kept example should be easier to move than one with visible wear or incomplete records.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Porsche Cayenne or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a strong choice if you want the Cayenne’s blend of performance and refinement while taking advantage of softer pricing. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the newest badge.
