Used 2018 Nissan Rogue for Sale near Tennessee

How much does the 2018 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 8.58% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,481 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Nissan Rogue earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spaciousness, smooth ride, and modern tech like CarPlay. In practical terms, that lines up well with the Rogue’s roomy, affordable crossover positioning and its broad everyday appeal. You also get a market that still shows meaningful availability, with 29.7% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2018 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience centered on comfort, spaciousness, and good safety features. The expert evaluation also describes it as a practical, affordable crossover with class-leading technology and comfort, which supports the idea that it’s a vehicle you can count on for daily use. Nissan’s ProPilot Assist and other tech features add to the sense of long-term usefulness, especially if you value convenience and driver support.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the vehicle has been maintained well and that its condition matches its mileage and price.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Nissan Rogue?

At 55.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the equipment and safety systems work as expected. Because this model year has broad appeal and a lot of inventory, you can afford to be selective and walk away from anything with unclear history or uneven condition.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S trim uses coarser fabric and harder plastic, while the SL adds padded leather trim on the center console, armrests, and dash, plus ribbed stitching on the seat inserts. The lower trims are more basic, so you should expect fewer upscale touches if you shop at the entry level.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder with 170 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque, paired with a continuously variable transmission and either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The setup is tuned more for efficiency and everyday comfort than quick acceleration.
• Safety package: ProPilot Assist is Nissan’s semi-autonomous driving system, and it works with adaptive cruise control to help steer on gentle highway curves. Blind-spot monitoring is standard, Intelligent Trace Control is standard, and 360-degree AroundView cameras are available on lower trims. ProPilot Assist is limited to the SL with both the Premium and Platinum packages.
• Infotainment: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and Nissan redesigned the infotainment system for 2018 with a more usable interface and a customizable home screen. The system also includes telematics support such as remote unlocking and automatic 911 notifications if the car has been in an accident.
• Fuel efficiency: FWD models are rated at 26 mpg city and 33 highway, while AWD models are rated at 25/32.

Which 2018 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2018 Nissan Rogue is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SV, Midnight Edition, SL.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Rogue’s core value proposition at the lowest starting price. It makes sense if you want the most affordable way into the model and don’t need the extra comfort or convenience features found higher up.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it sits in the sweet spot between price and equipment. The cost-effectiveness commentary points to well-equipped AWD SV models as the market’s sweet spot, which makes this the trim to target if you want a balanced used buy.
• Midnight Edition: This is an SV with a blacked-out look, so it’s mainly for shoppers who want a more distinctive appearance rather than a major equipment upgrade.
• SL: This is the most upscale choice, with the padded leather trim and the best chance of getting ProPilot Assist when paired with the Premium and Platinum packages. It suits you best if you want the most advanced tech and the most premium cabin feel.

ProPilot Assist is only available on the SL with both the Premium and Platinum packages, so safety-tech shoppers should pay close attention to package content.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Nissan Rogue?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,481 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.58% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,342, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $12,342 sits slightly below last year's $13,500.

That price movement suggests the Rogue has softened enough to be attractive on the used market, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to move a vehicle quickly. If you buy well now, you’re starting from a lower cost basis than a year ago, which can help cushion depreciation. Strong demand for roomy, comfortable crossovers should continue to support interest, especially for clean examples with good equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2018 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2018 Rogue earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with three-star ratings for the front passenger in frontal crash tests and four-star ratings for the driver in frontal crash tests, plus five-star ratings for all seat positions in side crash tests. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety rates it a Top Safety Pick.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Blind-spot monitoring is standard, and Intelligent Trace Control is also standard. Nissan’s ProPilot Assist adds semi-autonomous highway support, but it is limited to the SL with both the Premium and Platinum packages. The IIHS result is strong overall, though the NHTSA frontal crash results are a reminder to pay attention to how the vehicle protects different seating positions.

Should I buy a 2018 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• For 2018, the Rogue adds automated driver assists that rival the best from luxury automakers.

The bottom line: If you want a used Rogue with strong value, broad availability, and the 2018 safety and tech upgrades, this year is the one to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully and focus on the best-maintained, clean-history examples, but the 2018 model year is the better all-around pick when you want the newer safety and convenience features.
