Used 2018 Nissan Maxima for Sale nearColumbia, SC

How much does the 2018 Nissan Maxima cost?

Prices have softened 9.26% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 706 listings available, which suggests you have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Nissan Maxima a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its performance, safety features, and handling, and many also like the value it offers for the money. The overview also shows why it appeals: you get a sporty-feeling large sedan with a V6, standard tech, and a more upscale personality than many mainstream sedans. With 26.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Nissan Maxima reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as reliable and safe, and the review summary also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many families. That kind of feedback matters if you want a used sedan you can count on over the long term.

For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about finding a well-kept example with a clean history and consistent maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Nissan Maxima?

At 48.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any damage, repairs, or title issues show up in the record. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for signs of poor repairs, uneven wear, or neglected maintenance. Focus especially on overall condition, because the spread in listing quality makes it worth being selective.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Nissan Maxima?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 706 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.26% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 48.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,913, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Nissan Maxima's resale value?

The current average of $14,013 sits slightly below last year's $15,443.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make resale a little less favorable than it was a year ago. If you buy now, you may want to focus on condition, mileage, and maintenance history so your car stays competitive later. A well-kept example should still hold buyer interest better than one with visible wear or a questionable record.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Nissan Maxima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 48.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.26% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $16,896, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $14,013 average.
• It brings a mild refresh with updated style, technology, and interior features.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2018 if you want the better value and are willing to shop carefully for condition. If you want the newer refresh and can stretch your budget, the 2019 is the cleaner upgrade path.
