Used 2018 Nissan Altima for Sale nearTrenton, NJ

How much does the 2018 Nissan Altima cost?

Prices have softened 3.71% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,042 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2018 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise the smooth ride, good fuel economy, and spacious trunk, while also appreciating the comfort and technology features. For you, that makes it a sensible pick if you want a quiet, comfortable midsize sedan with useful everyday features rather than a sporty driving experience. With 28.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also uses reliability-friendly language around being dependable and trouble-free, especially when the car has been maintained well over time. At the same time, some reviews mention transmission concerns and maintenance-related issues, so you should pay close attention to service history and overall condition. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is manageable, but only if you verify the car has been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Nissan Altima?

At 47.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a trusted mechanic. Focus on signs of prior body damage, uneven panel gaps, tire wear, and any transmission-related symptoms during the test drive. Because condition varies widely in the used market, the cleanest, best-documented car is usually the safest buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Nissan Altima?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,042 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.71% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 47.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,592, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $10,765 sits slightly below last year's $11,180.

That softer pricing suggests the Altima is still a value-oriented used buy, but it also means future depreciation may remain a factor if you plan to resell later. If you buy at the right price, you can help cushion that drop and improve your odds of getting a fair trade-in or private-party offer down the road. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 47.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.71% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $13,313, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $10,765 average.
• It brings a more modern, more competitive midsize-sedan package.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2018 if your priority is value and you want a comfortable, well-equipped sedan at a lower entry price. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer-generation redesign, the 2019 is the better upgrade path; otherwise, the 2018 remains the smarter choice for price-sensitive buyers.
