How much does the 2018 Lexus NX cost?

Is the 2018 Lexus NX a good car?

Yes — 4.71/5 is a strong user rating, and it lines up with the way owners describe this NX: stylish, luxurious, and enjoyable to drive. The review summary also points to good road handling and gas economy, which matters if you want a compact luxury crossover that feels polished without being overly thirsty. If you’re shopping for a premium daily driver with a distinctive design and a comfort-first personality, this model year fits that use case well. With 35.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Lexus NX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary reinforces that reputation by highlighting the NX as stylish and luxurious while also noting its good road handling and gas economy. That combination suggests a vehicle many owners feel comfortable living with over time, especially if you value a premium feel and a dependable ownership experience. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the model’s overall reputation and more about choosing a well-kept example with a clean history and consistent maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Lexus NX?

At 56.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive or the vehicle has incomplete service records. Focus your condition check on bodywork, panel alignment, interior wear, and any signs that the car may have been repaired after an incident.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Lexus NX?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 701 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.65% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,031, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $21,601 sits slightly below last year's $22,654.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can make the NX more attractive to you as a buyer but slightly less favorable if you’re thinking ahead to resale. Even so, the model’s premium badge, strong owner satisfaction, and broad appeal in the compact luxury crossover segment help support future demand. If you maintain the vehicle well and keep it accident-free, you’re more likely to protect its value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2018 is a smart primary choice if you want the updated look, strong owner satisfaction, and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a cleaner or better-equipped example fits your budget more comfortably, but the 2018 remains the balanced pick for shoppers who want style, premium feel, and a favorable current price trend.
