Is the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2018 Range Rover stands out as a luxury SUV that still leans on the brand’s core promise of go-anywhere capability, while also offering a beautifully made cabin, upscale comfort features, and serious off-road ability. It also brings a broad mix of seating and body-style choices, plus a long list of standard driver aids, so it can fit both luxury-focused and capability-focused use cases. With 36.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive price.

Is the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2018 Range Rover is described as a complex vehicle with troublesome electrical and air suspension systems, high maintenance costs, and reliability that can be an unknown quantity. That means you should expect ownership to be more demanding than average, especially if the vehicle has incomplete service records or deferred maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Land Rover Range Rover?

At 72.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a full vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on electrical systems, suspension behavior, and signs of expensive wear, since this model is known for complexity and costly upkeep. Focus on overall condition and service documentation, because a well-maintained example is much safer than one that simply looks clean.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Land Rover Range Rover?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 874 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.96% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,951, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover's resale value?

The current average of $26,951 sits slightly below last year's $31,322.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the vehicle more attractive to buyers but less favorable for sellers trying to maximize return. If you plan to resell later, the current softness means your purchase price matters more, because future depreciation will be measured from a lower starting point. Strong condition and documented maintenance will matter even more if you want to protect value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Land Rover Range Rover or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should buy the 2018 if you want the Range Rover’s blend of luxury, comfort, and capability and you’re prepared to shop carefully for condition and history. If you’re more price-sensitive, a different year may be worth considering if it gives you a lower entry cost or a cleaner maintenance story.
