How much does the 2018 Honda Pilot cost?

Prices have softened 7.90% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,478 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Honda Pilot a good car?

Yes — the 4.67/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its great value, spaciousness, and driving comfort, and many also like the rear entertainment system and roomy interior. That makes it a strong fit if you want a family-focused midsize SUV with everyday practicality and comfort. With 35.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback describes it as reliable, and the overall tone of owner comments suggests a vehicle many people feel they can count on. The same feedback also points to a few minor concerns, including radio sound quality and common mechanical issues such as emissions problems. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk looks manageable, but you should still verify maintenance history and condition before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Honda Pilot?

At 64.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership history. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing has higher mileage or incomplete service records. Focus on overall condition, since the market includes both clean examples and vehicles with prior damage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,478 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.90% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,169, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $18,170 sits slightly below last year's $19,728.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at a strong price and keep the vehicle in good condition, you can help protect your future resale position. Demand should remain supported by the Pilot’s family-friendly reputation and broad appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.90% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $17,026, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $18,170 average.
• It offers a practical, family-friendly focus with spaciousness and comfort.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around value proposition, the 2018 is the better primary target because it combines solid owner satisfaction with a softer price trend and decent deal availability. If your top priority is spending less upfront, the 2017 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in clean condition with a strong service history.
