CarGurus Analysis: 2018 Chrysler 300

Summary
With 719 currently listed for sale and an average price of $14,674, 27.4% of 2018 Chrysler 300s for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2018 Chrysler 300 4.75 / 5 stars.
52.0% of 2018 Chrysler 300 models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2018 Chrysler 300 stands out as a big, rear-wheel-drive American sedan that blends classic full-size proportions with a more upscale feel than many shoppers expect. Chrysler’s long-running formula gives it a roomy cabin and a comfortable, substantial presence, while the available all-wheel drive broadens its appeal for drivers who want extra confidence in poor weather. It also benefits from the 300’s long production run, which helped make it a familiar and generally affordable used-car choice.
By 2018, the 300 had already picked up several important updates. Chrysler had added Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in 2017, and after 2019 the car was essentially frozen in time, so the 2018 model sits in the middle of the lineup with modern smartphone integration already in place. The broader 300 family also gained features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane-keep assist in the 2015 refresh, along with an updated, more upscale cabin design and major improvements to the UConnect touchscreen infotainment system. Buyers looking at this year also benefit from the model’s durable powertrain reputation, since the 300 was known for tough V6 and V8 engines and automatic transmissions.
The tradeoffs are the same ones that come with a large sedan: it has a big appetite for fuel, and it is not as performance focused as its Dodge Charger sibling. Still, for shoppers who want a comfortable, spacious sedan with a premium feel and a strong feature set, the 2018 Chrysler 300 remains distinctive.

The features that came with the car for the price were great and exactly what I was looking for and more. The car with all the upgraded features for the specific model I had were below the market value was a great value. I would compare it to a dodge charger.

Reviewed a 2018 Chrysler C RWD on Aug 21, 2022
I purchased my 2018 300C in 2019 and it currently has just over 24,000 miles. I test drove a Charger RT and a Taurus SHO before purchasing my black with mocha interior Chrysler 300C . Comparing prices, the Chrysler was the best choice hands down. Fantastic heated and cooled Napa leather seating. Navigation bliss, heated /cooled cup holders. 20 rims and a 5.7 Hemi. A solid Luxury and performance full size sedan. Ive had an issue with the Uconnect infotainment system that had my car setting at my dealerships service lot for 30 days waiting for parts but was supplied with a loaner vehicle and some financial assistance from Chrysler customer care. Its a nice sedan, but isnt the best regarding fuel mileage but I purchased the 300C because of the fantastic price compared to the aforementioned vehicles and the luxury and performance it offered. I keep hearing the 300 is being discontinued. Its basically the same looking vehicle since 2015, but i still like its unique and classic look. Its a solid full-size sedan that has room for 5 and a large trunk for luggage. I recommend if your in the market for a full size sedan. Take a look at the Chrysler 300 before they are discontinued

How much does the 2018 Chrysler 300 cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $14,695 |
| Year-Round Low | $14,683 |
| Year-Round High | $15,849 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $15,824 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −7.14% |
Prices have softened 7.14% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 711 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.
Is the 2018 Chrysler 300 a good car?
Yes — the 4.75/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise the spacious interior, comfortable ride, and upscale feel, and many also like the available all-wheel drive for added confidence in snowy conditions. For you, that makes this a strong fit if you want a roomy, full-size sedan with a premium character and useful everyday comfort. With 27.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.
Is the 2018 Chrysler 300 reliable?
Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The review feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers highlighting comfort, quality features, and a car they feel good about living with over time. That said, some owners mention infotainment frustrations, so you should pay attention to how the system works during your test drive and inspection. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the core car and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn down by age or electronics issues.
What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Chrysler 300?
At 51.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with past damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior repair quality, and whether the cabin electronics and infotainment system operate properly.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Chrysler 300?
This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they compare listings carefully.
- Deal availability: 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 711 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 7.14% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 51.3% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $14,683, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2018 Chrysler 300's resale value?
The current average of $14,695 sits slightly below last year's $15,824.
That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For resale, that also means your future value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. If you buy a clean, well-kept example, you give yourself a better chance of holding value more effectively than the average listing.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2018 Chrysler 300 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2018 if:
- 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 51.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 7.14% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2017 if:
- At $14,044, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $14,695 average.
- It offers a wide range of trims and powertrain choices.
The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced choice, the 2018 is the stronger pick because it combines solid owner satisfaction with a softer price trend and a decent pool of listings. If your main goal is to spend less upfront, the 2017 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in cleaner condition and with the features you want.
