Is the 2018 Audi Q7 a good car?

Yes — the 4.9/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently highlight the Q7’s luxury feel, roomy interior, and performance, and many say it works especially well as a family SUV. The overview also supports that use case, with comfortable front and second-row seating, useful cargo space for the class, and a more modern cabin than the previous Q7. Is the 2018 Audi Q7 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback emphasizes a dependable ownership experience centered on luxury, space, and performance, with many drivers describing it as a great family vehicle. That kind of positive owner sentiment often lines up with trouble-free day-to-day use and confidence over the long term. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about the rating and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Audi Q7?

At 72.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on bodywork quality, panel alignment, and signs of inconsistent wear or repair. It also makes sense to prioritize overall condition, since the best-used examples will usually be the ones with clean records and well-documented maintenance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Audi Q7?

What is the 2018 Audi Q7's resale value?

The current average of $16,277 sits slightly below last year's $18,712.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make future depreciation feel less steep from today’s entry point. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it comes time to sell. Strong owner satisfaction also helps keep demand steady for a luxury SUV like this.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Audi Q7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.02% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $14,349, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $16,277 average.
• It brings a redesigned return with more interior space and improved technology.

The bottom line: The 2018 is the better pick if you want the newer pricing environment, strong owner satisfaction, and a well-rounded luxury SUV experience. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2017 is the smarter value play, especially if you find one in excellent condition with a clean history.
