Is the 2018 Audi A6 a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise the interior design, the powerful performance, and the luxurious feel, while also highlighting the handling and feature content. For you, that means this model fits especially well if you want a refined midsize luxury sedan with a premium cabin and a polished driving experience. Is the 2018 Audi A6 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers describing the car as luxurious and enjoyable over time. That kind of praise suggests you can count on it for the long haul if the example you choose has been maintained properly. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s appeal and more about how well a specific car has been cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Audi A6?

At 67.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on the body, electronics, and interior condition, since those areas matter most in a luxury sedan. It also helps to focus on maintenance records and overall wear, because a well-kept example is likely to be the better long-term buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Audi A6?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 654 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.13% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 67.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,371, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Audi A6's resale value?

The current average of $16,448 sits slightly below last year's $17,904.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. A clean, well-documented example should hold up better than one with accident history or visible wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Audi A6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $21,658, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $16,448 average.
• It brings a redesigned cabin with updated tech and more advanced driver assistance.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2018 is the stronger starting point because it combines lower pricing with solid owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer redesign and updated technology, the 2019 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2018 is the smarter buy; for shoppers prioritizing the newest cabin and features, move up a year.
