How much does the 2017 Volvo XC60 cost?

Is the 2017 Volvo XC60 a good car?

Yes — the 4.67/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the XC60 for its handling, comfort, luxurious interior, advanced features, safety attributes, and fuel economy. That lines up well with the XC60’s role as a compact luxury crossover for you if you want safety, comfort, and understated design over flashy styling. With 40.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market also gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Volvo XC60 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes reliable-feeling traits such as comfort, safety, and trouble-free day-to-day use, along with confidence in the vehicle’s overall performance. That kind of long-term praise matters if you want a used luxury SUV you can count on.

For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about how well a specific example has been maintained over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Volvo XC60?

At 70.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should get priority, especially on bodywork, suspension, and signs of uneven wear. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since the best used XC60s will be the ones that show consistent care rather than just a low asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Volvo XC60?

It looks like a buyer-friendly market, with solid deal availability and a meaningful amount of inventory to choose from.

• Deal availability: 40.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 583 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.48% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,337, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Volvo XC60's resale value?

The current average of $12,345 sits slightly below last year's $14,606.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. If you keep the XC60 clean, documented, and accident-free, you give yourself a better chance of standing out when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Volvo XC60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 40.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $17,672, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $12,345 average.
• It brings an all-new platform with a more modern design and optional plug-in hybrid power.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2017 is the smarter starting point because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer redesign and a more modern feel, the 2018 is the better secondary path.
