Used 2017 Porsche Panamera for Sale nearBaltimore, MD

How much does the 2017 Porsche Panamera cost?

Prices have softened 5.62% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 331 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Porsche Panamera a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

You’re looking at a large luxury four-door that still delivers Porsche-style driving character, and the owner feedback backs that up with praise for its power, handling, and luxury features. The spacious interior also makes it easier to live with day to day, especially if you want a practical sedan that still feels special behind the wheel. With a 30.8% good-or-great-deal rate, the market also gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Porsche Panamera reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in the ways that matter most to you: strong performance, luxury features, and a cabin that owners continue to enjoy over time. The expert writeup also emphasizes that the Panamera is engineered to extremes, which supports the sense that it’s built for serious long-term use. Porsche’s pricing and option structure can make ownership expensive, so your biggest risk as a used buyer is not basic durability so much as paying too much for a heavily optioned example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Porsche Panamera?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, because a clean listing percentage doesn’t guarantee a clean individual vehicle. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for wear, deferred maintenance, and any signs that the car has been driven hard. Focus especially on condition, service records, and whether the car’s equipment and electronics all work as they should.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin presentation is elegant and expensive, with four bucket seats, a full-leather interior in the Turbo, and a design that feels purpose-built rather than flashy. Base versions are less lavish than the upper trims, so you should pay close attention to how much equipment is included on the specific car you’re considering.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes a 3.0-liter single-turbo V6 with 330 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque, a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 with 440 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque, and a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with 550 horsepower and 567 pound-feet of torque. AWD is standard on all but the base Panamera and Panamera S, and the Turbo’s acceleration is described as especially intense.
• Safety package: Night vision with pedestrian detection, auto-braking, lane-keep assist, and other active safety features are available. Porsche does not go as far with safety features as some rivals, so you should check carefully for the specific driver-assistance equipment on the car you’re shopping.
• Infotainment: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the system includes LTE, Wi-Fi, proximity-based menus, 3D graphical controls, and a fast, intuitive interface. The tech setup is a major strength, especially if you want a modern-feeling cabin.
• Fuel efficiency: The Turbo is EPA-rated at 18 mpg city and 25 highway, and the test car averaged 17 mpg over 650 miles.

Which 2017 Porsche Panamera trim should I buy?

The 2017 Porsche Panamera is offered in 6 trim levels: Panamera, Panamera 4, Panamera S, Panamera 4S, Panamera Turbo, Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid.

Here's the short version:

• Panamera: This is the entry point if you want the Panamera experience at the lowest starting level, with rear-wheel drive and the 3.0-liter single-turbo V6. It gives you the core Porsche sedan formula, but you should expect fewer standard luxuries than the higher trims.
• Panamera 4: This adds all-wheel drive while keeping the 3.0-liter V6, making it the better choice if you want extra traction without jumping to a more expensive performance model.
• Panamera S: This trim pairs rear-wheel drive with the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 and 440 horsepower, so it’s the stronger pick if you want more punch without going all the way to the V8 models.
• Panamera 4S: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it combines the stronger twin-turbo V6 with all-wheel drive. If you want the sweet spot between performance and everyday usability, this is the trim to focus on.
• Panamera Turbo: This is the standout if you want the most dramatic performance, with the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and the most intense acceleration in the lineup.
• Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid: This is the most powerful version mentioned, combining the V8 with electric assistance for 680 horsepower and 626 lb-ft of torque. It’s the one to consider if outright output matters most to you.

Porsche’s safety equipment is available rather than fully standard across the lineup, so verify the exact driver-assistance content on any trim you’re considering.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Porsche Panamera?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 331 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 75.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,900, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Porsche Panamera's resale value?

The current average of $40,472 sits slightly below last year's $42,882.

That price movement suggests the market has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help you if you’re buying now and may soften the hit if you sell later. The fact that the model still commands a strong average price also points to continued demand for well-kept examples. If you choose a clean, well-optioned car and keep it in good condition, you’re more likely to preserve value than if you buy a heavily worn or poorly documented example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2017 Porsche Panamera safe?

The 2017 Porsche Panamera has no government or insurance agency crash-test results listed here.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Night vision with pedestrian detection, auto-braking, lane-keep assist, and other active safety features are available. Porsche does not go as far with safety as some rivals, so you should pay close attention to which driver-assistance features are actually fitted on the car you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2017 Porsche Panamera or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The all-new second-generation Panamera takes performance, style, and technology to the next forefront, and the Turbo model left testers especially impressed.

The bottom line: The 2017 Panamera is the right pick if you want the newer-generation car with strong performance, modern tech, and broad market availability at a softer price than a year ago. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare it with nearby years, but the 2017 stands out as the cleaner choice when you want the second-generation design and a strong mix of value and desirability.
