A lower current price can help you buy in at a better entry point, but it also means you should be realistic about future depreciation if you need to resell in the near term. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan NV Cargo or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2017 if you want the strongest mix of current pricing and buyer satisfaction. If you're especially price-sensitive, keep comparing listings closely and focus on the cleanest, best-documented examples rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.
