How much does the 2017 Nissan Armada cost?

Prices have softened 15.60% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 623 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Nissan Armada a good car?

Generally — the 2017 Nissan Armada earns a 4.4/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

Drivers repeatedly praise its powerful performance, spacious interior, luxury features, and smooth ride. That lines up with the Armada’s role as a full-size SUV for you if you want a plush, roomy, road-trip-friendly setup rather than a stripped-down utility vehicle. Market availability is also decent, with 35.6% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2017 Nissan Armada reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a vehicle that feels powerful, spacious, and comfortable enough for long drives, with several owners describing it as a dependable choice for daily use and family travel. The expert evaluation also emphasizes its quiet cabin, substantial sound insulation, and comfortable ride, which support the sense that it’s built for steady long-term use. The main ownership risk is that high fuel costs and premium-feature complexity can make it less appealing if you want the cheapest possible SUV to keep over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Nissan Armada?

At 55.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, alignment, and interior condition. Because this SUV is often bought for comfort and family duty, you’ll also want to focus on seat wear, electronics, and how well the cabin features work in real use. If you’re comparing multiple listings, put the cleanest example at the top of your list even if it costs a bit more.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SV trim brings a strong feature set for the money, including auto LEDs, dual-zone automatic climate control, front and rear parking sensors, a 13-speaker Bose stereo, heated power seats, navigation, a full-size spare, keyless ignition and entry, a rear-view camera, and an 8-inch touchscreen. The SL adds leather, 20-inch wheels, remote engine start, driver memory functions, auto wipers, and a 360-degree top-down camera, while the Platinum adds front-seat ventilation, a rear entertainment system, and more upscale interior touches.
• Powertrain: Every Armada uses a 5.6-liter V8 with a 7-speed automatic transmission. You can choose rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and AWD lowers fuel economy from 14 city and 19 highway to 13 city and 18 highway.
• Safety package: The Technology Package adds adaptive cruise, blind-spot monitoring and warning, plus forward-collision warning with avoidance braking front and rear. Base SV trims cannot access those secondary safety features, and lane-departure warning and avoidance are reserved for the Platinum trim.
• Infotainment: The Armada uses an 8-inch touchscreen, but the system lacks Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The interface is also described as dated and frustrating, so you should test it carefully before buying.
• Fuel efficiency: The Armada is rated at 14 mpg city and 19 mpg highway with rear-wheel drive, or 13 mpg city and 18 mpg highway with all-wheel drive.

Which 2017 Nissan Armada trim should I buy?

The 2017 Nissan Armada is offered in 3 trim levels: SV, SL, Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• SV: This is the value play if you want the Armada’s core strengths without stretching your budget. You still get a long list of standard equipment, including the Bose audio system, navigation, parking sensors, heated power seats, and the 8-inch touchscreen, but you give up the more advanced safety and luxury upgrades found higher up.
• SL: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds leather, the 360-degree camera, remote start, driver memory functions, and access to the Technology Package. If you want the most balanced mix of comfort, convenience, and safety, this is the one to target.
• Platinum: This is the trim for you if you want the most luxury and the most safety content. It adds front-seat ventilation, rear-seat entertainment, and lane-departure warning and intervention, but it costs more and is best suited to buyers who want the top-spec experience.

The safety package is most compelling on the SL with the Technology Package, while lane-departure warning and avoidance remain Platinum-only.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Nissan Armada?

The market looks moderately favorable if you’re a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 623 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.60% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,975, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Nissan Armada's resale value?

The current average of $13,975 sits slightly below last year's $16,558.

That drop suggests the Armada has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer pricing environment than owners saw a year ago. If you buy at the current average or below, you give yourself a better chance of limiting depreciation exposure. Strong equipment, roomy packaging, and broad buyer appeal can still help support demand when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2017 Nissan Armada safe?

The Armada can be outfitted with every safety system you can think of, if you’re willing to venture up the trim-level ladder.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes stability and traction control, full-length curtain airbags, and a rear-view camera. If you want more advanced driver assistance, the Technology Package adds adaptive cruise, blind-spot monitoring and warning, plus forward-collision warning with avoidance braking front and rear. One important caveat is that the base SV trim cannot access the secondary safety features, and lane-departure warning and avoidance are limited to the Platinum trim.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Armada or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brought a quieter cabin, more power, and a more car-like feel.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $15,533, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $13,975 average.
• It adds extra technology to the standard features list.

The bottom line: If you want the lower price and a strong value proposition, the 2017 is the better buy. If you’re willing to pay more for a slightly more tech-forward setup, the 2018 is worth a look. For price-sensitive shoppers, the 2017 gives you the better entry point without giving up the Armada’s core strengths.
