Is the 2017 Nissan 370Z a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Nissan 370Z earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its thrilling performance, sporty design, and precise handling, and many also see it as a strong value in the entry-level sports car space. Is the 2017 Nissan 370Z reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a car that feels dependable and worth counting on, with owners highlighting its strong performance and overall enjoyment over time. That kind of feedback matters for used buyers because it suggests the car can deliver a satisfying ownership experience beyond the first few months. For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is less about the car’s core appeal and more about finding one that has been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Nissan 370Z?

At 52.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been modified or driven hard. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of wear that matter most on a sports car, including the drivetrain, brakes, tires, and interior condition.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Inventory: There are 135 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.25% year-over-year.

What is the 2017 Nissan 370Z's resale value?

The current average of $23,045 sits slightly above last year's $22,761.

That upward move suggests the market still sees value in this model year, which can help support resale confidence if you buy carefully. Because the price trend is positive, a well-kept example may hold up better than a car in a softer market. Your best resale outcome will usually come from choosing a clean, well-documented car and avoiding examples with accident history or obvious wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan 370Z or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.25% year-over-year.

The bottom line: Buy the 2017 if you want the strongest mix of current market support, owner satisfaction, and the classic 370Z driving experience. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a cleaner or cheaper example gives you a better overall value, but the 2017 remains a solid target when condition and history check out.
