Used 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE for Sale nearSaint Louis, MO

How much does the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE cost?

Prices have softened 8.03% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,281 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 4.91/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its luxury, comfort, and strong engine performance, and they also value the way it handles challenging weather conditions. The overview frames it as a premium SUV with a conservative, family-friendly character, so it fits well if you want upscale comfort and practical everyday use. With 35.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful share of the market to shop from.

Is the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.91/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes that it can be dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, with many drivers appreciating its long-term comfort and confidence in varied conditions. At the same time, the model’s reputation is balanced by mentions of heavier feel and the need for premium fuel, so ownership can be more demanding than a mainstream SUV. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that neglected maintenance or expensive repairs can outweigh the benefits of its strong ownership appeal.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

At 61.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you get too far into the process. A pre-purchase inspection should be a priority, especially if the vehicle has higher mileage or a complicated option set. Focus closely on overall condition, because issues like prior damage, electrical glitches, or suspension concerns can matter more than cosmetic appeal on this model.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,281 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.03% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,180, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $18,527 sits slightly below last year's $20,145.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the vehicle more attractive to you as a buyer but may also mean future resale gains are limited. If you plan to sell later, the softer pricing trend means you should pay close attention to purchase price and condition so you do not start too far above market. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, but resale value will still depend heavily on mileage, maintenance, and overall presentation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.91/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.91/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a strong choice if you want a luxury SUV with broad appeal, solid owner satisfaction, and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare it with nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price.
