How much does the 2017 MINI Countryman cost?

Is the 2017 MINI Countryman a good car?

Yes — 4.75/5 is a strong user rating, and it lines up with the Countryman’s appeal as a small SUV that blends MINI personality with everyday usefulness. The larger body gives you more rear passenger space and cargo capacity than smaller Minis, while the distinctive cabin design and wide range of customization options help it stand out from more conventional crossovers. It also offers a practical mix of standard equipment and available features, so you can shop for one that fits your needs without losing the model’s character.

30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 MINI Countryman reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Countryman’s appeal comes from its blend of style, practicality, and a more premium-feeling cabin than many small crossovers. Its larger size also makes it more usable than smaller Minis, which can matter if you plan to keep it as a daily driver. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained well and matches the condition you expect from a compact SUV with a more complex feature set.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 MINI Countryman?

At 67.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership patterns before you get too far into the process. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the body, interior, and mechanical condition, since the best used example will be the one that shows consistent care rather than just attractive pricing. Focus on how the car presents overall, because condition matters more when you’re shopping a model with a relatively small pool of listings.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 MINI Countryman?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 292 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.19% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 67.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,826, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 MINI Countryman's resale value?

The current average of $13,544 sits slightly below last year's $13,848.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can help protect your position when it’s time to sell. The Countryman’s distinctive styling and practical cabin should continue to support interest from shoppers who want something different from a typical small SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 MINI Countryman or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is the better choice if you want the Countryman’s distinctive style, practical cabin space, and a market that still offers some deal potential. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.
