overall

Summary
With 199 currently listed for sale and an average price of $18,631, 25.1% of 2017 INFINITI Q60s for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2017 INFINITI Q60 4.75 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 6.67 / 10.

Why it stands out
The 2017 INFINITI Q60 arrives fully redesigned, and that alone makes it stand out in the luxury sport coupe segment. Infiniti pairs the new look with new engines, a retuned transmission, and the second generation of Direct Adaptive Steering, aiming to bring more technology and theater to the formula. The result is a coupe that emphasizes striking styling and a modern, tech-heavy character rather than simply following the usual European playbook.
It also brings a new GT-R-related twin-turbo V6, a retuned 7-speed transmission, and a fully drive-by-wire setup. Those changes help give the Q60 impressive handling, and Infiniti clearly leans on that blend of performance and value as part of its appeal. At the same time, the car’s personality is not built around driver engagement in the traditional sense, since it does not offer either a dual-clutch automatic or a manual transmission.

I’ve owned my Q60RS for about a year and a half as of writing this. It’s safe to say that, I really, REALLY like this car. It’s got a perfect mix of mid 2010’s technology combined with all the premier engineering from the Nissan 370z and the Nissan GT-R. The Q60RS in AWD feels light, easy to drive, easy to control, and is so family friendly that once you kick it into Sport and Sport+, you hardly remember that the twin-turbo V6 hiding under the hood is still an absolute monster to be tamed. The car does have its downsides - it’s VERY persistent about warnings and issues that otherwise wouldn’t matter, such as front camera sensors not being available or an occasional check engine light even if nothing is wrong under the hood. Maybe that’s just with my Q60. The car is also a little bit towards the bottom of its league compared to other options in its MSRP price range - namely the 981 Porsche Cayman, the S197-II and S550-I / S550-II Ford Mustang lineup, the Gen 6 Camaro SS, etc. For a $50K-$60K car, I would expect it to be pretty fast if not luxurious - and while the car is both fast and luxurious, it could definitely prove itself a little more in the top speed game. Back in the 2000’s, 400 Horsepower was enough to get you up to 160 - 180MPH range, and by the early 2010’s, that was fairly default (as seen with the 2008 - 2012 Dodge Charger SRT-8, 2007 - 2012 Porsche 911 lineup ((997.1 and 997.2, etc))). This car packs 400 Horsepower exact, but only tops out around 155 Miles an Hour - I’m fairly certain that even the 370Z Nismo marks around that top speed. Regardless of its issues, the car is still an amazing drive - and if you can find one for the right price, I’d definitely recommend going for it. It’s the perfect entry level performance car for the prices it comes around in now (I purchased mine for around $25K @ around 89K Miles - most Q60RS range between $27K - $40K depending on mileage and condition). So, if you’re looking for something thats on par with some of the more popular sports cars of the mid 2010’s, this is definitely a go to!

Is the 2017 INFINITI Q60 a good car?
Yes — the 4.75/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the expert rating is 6.67/10. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.
The Q60’s appeal is rooted in its fully redesigned styling, its modern tech-heavy character, and its use of new engines and a retuned transmission. It also leans into performance and value rather than the traditional driver-engagement formula, so you should expect a coupe with a distinctive personality instead of a purely analog sports-car feel.
25.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.
Is the 2017 INFINITI Q60 reliable?
Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The Q60’s reliability story is tied to its mix of new hardware and technology. The overview emphasizes a redesigned model with new engines and a retuned transmission, while the expert notes that the 3.0T’s new engine architecture brings a lot of technology into the package. That can be a plus for refinement and capability, but it also means you should pay close attention to how the car has been maintained and whether its systems operate as intended.
The expert also highlights efficiency-minded engineering in the 3.0T, including direct injection and mirror-coating for the bore, which are meant to improve efficiency and reduce internal friction. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the car’s advanced systems may be more sensitive to neglect, so a thorough pre-purchase inspection matters.
What should I look for when buying a used 2017 INFINITI Q60?
At 45.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a hands-on inspection of bodywork, panel alignment, and any signs of prior repair. Because this model leans heavily on technology, you should also make sure the steering, braking, and driver-assistance systems behave consistently on a test drive. Focus on overall condition and how well the car’s electronics and mechanical systems work together.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The base 2.0T brings LED head- and foglights, keyless ignition and entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, 8-way power seats with leatherette, heated mirrors, 19-inch alloys, and a dual-touchscreen interface. The 2.0T Premium adds a standard sunroof and an upgraded Bose stereo, while the 3.0T Premium adds the twin-turbo V6 and opens the door to more available equipment. The Red Sport 400 adds staggered forged wheels, alloy pedals, paddle shifters, sport seats with power bolsters, and adaptive suspension.
- Powertrain: The lineup includes a turbocharged 4-cylinder and a twin-turbo V6 in 300-hp and 400-hp forms. The 2.0T is the efficiency play, while the 3.0T is the stronger all-around choice and the Red Sport 400 is the most powerful version.
- Safety package: The Driver Assistance package adds parking sensors front and rear, a 360-degree camera view, blind-spot monitoring, auto wipers, and automatic braking front and rear with forward-collision warning. The Technology Package adds adaptive cruise, blind-spot intervention, lane departure and intervention, and adaptive headlights with auto high beams. Some of these features are not available on the lower 2.0T trims.
- Infotainment: The Q60 uses dual touchscreens. The interface is functional, but the screens differ in resolution and can be confusing to operate. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not mentioned as available.
- Fuel efficiency: The 2.0T returns 22 city mpg and 30 highway mpg in rear-wheel-drive form, or 21/28 with all-wheel drive. The 3.0T is rated at 19/28 with rear-wheel drive and 19/27 with all-wheel drive. The Red Sport 400 is rated at 20 mpg city and 27 highway in rear-wheel-drive form, or 19/26 with all-wheel drive.
Which 2017 INFINITI Q60 trim should I buy?
The 2017 INFINITI Q60 is offered in 4 trim levels: 2.0T, 2.0T Premium, 3.0T Premium, Red Sport 400.
Here's the short version:
- 2.0T: This is the entry point if you want the lowest starting price and the core Q60 styling and equipment. It gives you the essentials, but it is the least powerful choice and the one most likely to feel stripped compared with the higher trims.
- 2.0T Premium: This is the better-value 4-cylinder choice because it adds a standard sunroof and an upgraded Bose stereo. If you want the Q60’s style with a little more comfort and audio quality without moving up to the V6, this is the trim to consider first.
- 3.0T Premium: This is the best-value trim overall because it brings the stronger twin-turbo V6 and unlocks more of the available equipment. It is the sweet spot if you want the Q60’s performance and a more complete feature set without jumping to the top-end model.
- Red Sport 400: This is the performance-focused choice, with the most power, adaptive suspension, and a more aggressive hardware setup. Buy this one if you want the strongest acceleration and the most athletic version of the Q60, but expect to pay more for the extra equipment.
The safety-package content makes clear that some of the most useful driver-assistance features are bundled into higher packages, so you should verify which systems are included on any used example before you commit.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 INFINITI Q60?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.
- Deal availability: 25.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 202 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 7.11% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 45.5% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $17,893, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2017 INFINITI Q60's resale value?
The current average of $18,598 sits slightly below last year's $20,020.
That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car more appealing to buyers today but less favorable if you’re planning to sell soon. If you own one, pricing pressure may continue to reflect the model’s softer trend versus a year ago. On the other hand, a lower entry price can help keep demand steady among shoppers looking for value in the luxury sport coupe segment.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2017 INFINITI Q60 safe?
It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.
The Q60 has not yet been tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The safety package centers on a broad set of driver-assistance features, including autonomous braking forward and in reverse, traction and stability control, full-length curtain-side airbags, and upgraded seatbelts in the Technology Package that lock you in and tighten up pre-collision.
The expert notes that the systems can be intrusive and should be evaluated carefully on a test drive. You should pay close attention to how the lane-keeping, braking, and steering-assist functions behave, especially if you’re considering a car equipped with the more advanced packages.
Should I buy a 2017 INFINITI Q60 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2017 if:
- 25.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 45.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 7.11% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The expert highlights a fully redesigned Q60 with new engines, a retuned transmission, and a modern tech-heavy character.
The bottom line: The 2017 is the right pick if you want the redesigned Q60’s styling, tech, and value story at a lower market price. If you’re especially price-sensitive, this year’s softened pricing makes it worth a close look; if you want the strongest feature mix, focus on well-equipped examples rather than the cheapest listings.
