overall

Summary
With 222 currently listed for sale and an average price of $18,440, 23.9% of 2017 INFINITI Q60 listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2017 INFINITI Q60 4.75 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 6.67 / 10.
47.3% of 2017 INFINITI Q60 listings on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2017 INFINITI Q60 stands out as a fully redesigned luxury sport coupe that leans hard on technology, value, and style. Infiniti gave it new engines, a retuned transmission, and a second generation of Direct Adaptive Steering, all in an effort to make the car feel more advanced than the usual luxury coupe formula. It also brings striking styling and impressive handling, which help give it a strong visual and dynamic identity.
That said, the 2017 INFINITI Q60 is not built around old-school driver involvement. The source notes that while a dual-clutch automatic can be quicker and more efficient than a manual, the Q60 offers neither a manual nor that kind of setup, so it does not deliver the most engaging experience for enthusiasts. Even so, it still appeals through its blend of technology, theatre, and a feature set that is described as especially rich for the segment.

I’ve owned my Q60RS for about a year and a half as of writing this. It’s safe to say that, I really, REALLY like this car. It’s got a perfect mix of mid 2010’s technology combined with all the premier engineering from the Nissan 370z and the Nissan GT-R. The Q60RS in AWD feels light, easy to drive, easy to control, and is so family friendly that once you kick it into Sport and Sport+, you hardly remember that the twin-turbo V6 hiding under the hood is still an absolute monster to be tamed. The car does have its downsides - it’s VERY persistent about warnings and issues that otherwise wouldn’t matter, such as front camera sensors not being available or an occasional check engine light even if nothing is wrong under the hood. Maybe that’s just with my Q60. The car is also a little bit towards the bottom of its league compared to other options in its MSRP price range - namely the 981 Porsche Cayman, the S197-II and S550-I / S550-II Ford Mustang lineup, the Gen 6 Camaro SS, etc. For a $50K-$60K car, I would expect it to be pretty fast if not luxurious - and while the car is both fast and luxurious, it could definitely prove itself a little more in the top speed game. Back in the 2000’s, 400 Horsepower was enough to get you up to 160 - 180MPH range, and by the early 2010’s, that was fairly default (as seen with the 2008 - 2012 Dodge Charger SRT-8, 2007 - 2012 Porsche 911 lineup ((997.1 and 997.2, etc))). This car packs 400 Horsepower exact, but only tops out around 155 Miles an Hour - I’m fairly certain that even the 370Z Nismo marks around that top speed. Regardless of its issues, the car is still an amazing drive - and if you can find one for the right price, I’d definitely recommend going for it. It’s the perfect entry level performance car for the prices it comes around in now (I purchased mine for around $25K @ around 89K Miles - most Q60RS range between $27K - $40K depending on mileage and condition). So, if you’re looking for something thats on par with some of the more popular sports cars of the mid 2010’s, this is definitely a go to!

Is the 2017 INFINITI Q60 a good car?
Yes — the 2017 INFINITI Q60 earns a 4.75/5 user rating and a 6.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.
It’s a fully redesigned luxury sport coupe that leans on technology, value, and style, with striking styling and impressive handling helping it stand out in the segment. It also brings a rich feature set for the class, though it does not deliver the most engaging experience for enthusiasts because it skips both a manual and a dual-clutch setup.
Only 22.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful shopping.
Is the 2017 INFINITI Q60 reliable?
Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The Q60’s redesign centers on new engines, a retuned transmission, and a second-generation Direct Adaptive Steering system, which gives it a more advanced feel than a typical luxury coupe. The 3.0T’s twin-turbo V6 is described as smooth and stout, and the performance notes point to direct injection and mirror-coating for the bore as efficiency-minded engineering touches.
The cost-effectiveness notes also suggest the mid-level 3.0T or Silver Sport are the strongest value plays, which matters if you want a used example that balances equipment and ownership cost. For long-term buyers, the main risk is that the car’s more complex tech and steering systems may be less appealing if you prefer simpler, more conventional hardware.
What should I look for when buying a used 2017 INFINITI Q60?
At 48.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has advanced driver-assistance equipment or optional steering tech. Focus on how the car drives, how the electronics behave, and whether any safety or steering systems feel intrusive or inconsistent during a test drive.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The base 2.0T includes LED head- and foglights, keyless ignition and entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, 8-way power seats with leatherette, heated mirrors, 19-inch alloys, and a dual-touchscreen interface. The 2.0T Premium adds a standard sunroof and an upgraded Bose stereo, while the 3.0T Premium brings the twin-turbo V6 and more available equipment. The Red Sport 400 adds 400-hp performance hardware, staggered forged wheels, paddle shifters, sport seats, and an adaptive suspension.
- Powertrain: The lineup includes a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder and a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 in 300-hp and 400-hp forms. The 2.0T is smooth but not especially quick, while the 3.0T is the stronger all-around choice and the Red Sport 400 is the most powerful version.
- Safety package: The Driver Assistance package adds parking sensors front and rear, a 360-degree camera view, blind-spot monitoring, auto wipers, and auto braking front and rear with forward-collision warning. The Technology Package adds adaptive cruise, blind-spot intervention, lane departure and intervention, and adaptive headlights with auto high beams.
- Infotainment: The Q60 uses dual touchscreens, and the interface is described as functional but a bit confusing because the screens differ in resolution and some controls work on only one screen or the other. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are mentioned as desirable additions.
- Fuel efficiency: The 2.0T returns 22 city/30 highway mpg in rear-wheel-drive form and 21/28 mpg with all-wheel drive. The 3.0T is rated at 19/28 mpg with rear-wheel drive and 19/27 mpg with all-wheel drive. The Red Sport 400 is rated at 20 city/27 highway mpg in rear-wheel drive and 19/26 mpg with all-wheel drive.
Which 2017 INFINITI Q60 trim should I buy?
The 2017 INFINITI Q60 is offered in 5 trim levels: 2.0T, 2.0T Premium, 3.0T Premium, Red Sport 400, Silver Sport.
Here's the short version:
- 2.0T: This is the entry point if you want the lowest starting price and the core Q60 styling and equipment. It gives you the basics, but the feature set is clearly more modest than the higher trims.
- 2.0T Premium: This is the better-value choice if you want a more complete luxury experience without jumping to the V6. The sunroof and upgraded Bose audio make it feel more polished, and it’s the trim that most clearly improves everyday livability.
- 3.0T Premium: This is the best all-around pick if you want the strongest balance of performance, available equipment, and long-term appeal. The twin-turbo V6 makes the Q60 feel much more substantial, and this trim unlocks the richer option content that the lower trims can’t add.
- Red Sport 400: Choose this if you want the most power and the most aggressive hardware. It adds the 400-hp version of the V6, adaptive suspension, and sport-focused equipment, but it also pushes the price well above the rest of the lineup.
- Silver Sport: This later-arriving trim is positioned close to the Red Sport 400 but uses the 300-hp V6 and skinnier tires. It’s a niche choice if you want a sportier setup without going all the way to the top-power model.
The safety-package trims are worth paying attention to, because several of the most useful driver-assistance features are bundled rather than standard.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 INFINITI Q60?
This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.
- Deal availability: 22.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 220 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 7.32% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 48.2% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $17,897, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2017 INFINITI Q60's resale value?
The current average of $18,406 sits slightly below last year's $19,859.
That decline suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you’re a future seller, the key is to buy well and avoid overpaying, because a lower entry price gives you more room to absorb depreciation later.
The Q60’s strong styling and solid owner satisfaction can help support demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2017 INFINITI Q60 safe?
The Q60 has not yet been tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.
The available driver-assistance tech is extensive, with autonomous braking forward and in reverse, traction and stability control, a 360-degree camera view, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise, lane departure and intervention, and adaptive headlights with auto high beams. The Technology Package also adds upgraded seatbelts that lock you in upon clicking them in place and tighten up pre-collision.
One caveat is that some of the systems can feel intrusive or overly sensitive in real-world use, so you should test them carefully before buying. If you’re considering a used example, make sure the safety tech behaves the way you want it to, because the car’s value proposition changes if you end up switching those systems off.
Should I buy a 2017 INFINITI Q60 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2017 if:
- 22.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 48.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 7.32% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2017 Q60 is a fully redesigned luxury sport coupe with new engines, a retuned transmission, and a second-generation Direct Adaptive Steering system.
The bottom line: If you want the most distinctive version of this coupe’s redesign, the 2017 is the one to target because it combines the new styling, updated powertrains, and a strong value story in today’s market. If you’re shopping mainly on price, you can still find attractive examples, but you should be selective and prioritize condition, history, and the equipment package that best fits your needs.
