Why it stands out
The 2017 GMC Terrain offers a comfortable ride and a spacious interior, which many owners appreciate, along with an attractive design and a quiet cabin. While it shares a platform with the Chevrolet Equinox, the Terrain stands out with its angular styling and off-road capabilities, especially in the AT4 trim. Although it lacks certain luxury features and has received some criticism for its engine performance, particularly in terms of acceleration, it provides a good balance of comfort and utility. The vehicle's redesign for 2025 brought modern touches, improving its interior and overall appeal, but it still faces competition from segment leaders like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4.

Vehicle has numerous extras. Appointments are well presented. Ride is very comfortable and enjoyable. Denali models have a vast difference over standard models. Add features and sound insulation make for a much smoother and comfortable ride.

The terrain is a great looking suv and a good value. I have only driven it about 200 miles but it is fun to drive with a sporty feel

The ride was much better than I thought it would be. Cabin was very quiet and spacious. The control layouts were simplistic by todays standards but easy to use. The two drawbacks for what I am looking for is a relatively low ground clearance (6.9) and the 2.4L four cylinder is sluggish when accelerating to get up to speed.
