How much does the 2017 Ford Fusion cost?

Prices have softened 9.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,775 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Ford Fusion a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Ford Fusion earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth ride, comfort, and solid performance, and many also like the available features for the money. The model’s roomy cabin and practical trunk make it a sensible choice if you want a midsize sedan that works well for everyday use, while the available V6 and broader powertrain range give you options if you want more power or efficiency. With 28.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a value-oriented example.

Is the 2017 Ford Fusion reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with a smooth ride and comfort that owners continue to count on. The repeated praise for its solid performance and feature content suggests the Fusion can be a trouble-free choice when it has been maintained well. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is choosing a car with uneven maintenance or hard use, so condition matters a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Ford Fusion?

At 57% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection on any car that looks especially clean or unusually cheap. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the car’s features and drivability match the seller’s description. If you’re comparing multiple listings, give extra weight to cars with clear records and consistent maintenance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Ford Fusion?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,775 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,120, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Ford Fusion's resale value?

The current average of $10,185 sits slightly below last year's $11,202.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car more attractive to buyers today but less favorable for sellers trying to maximize return. If you plan to resell later, the current pricing trend means your future value will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and how well the car has been maintained. A clean, well-kept example should hold up better than one with accident history or visible wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Ford Fusion or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $11,518, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $10,185 average.
• It offers an unusually broad lineup, including basic, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, luxury, and sports-oriented versions.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2017 is the stronger starting point because pricing has eased and inventory is healthy. If you’re willing to pay more for a wider range of trims and personalities, the 2018 is the better alternative. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2017 makes the most sense; for shoppers who want more variety, the 2018 is worth the extra money.
