How much does the 2017 Cadillac Escalade cost?

Prices have softened 8.27% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 889 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2017 Cadillac Escalade a good car?

Generally — the 2017 Cadillac Escalade earns a 4.29/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners most often praise its luxurious features, comfort, and standout style, and they also describe it as loaded with impressive amenities and good value. The Escalade’s large size and premium, tech-heavy cabin make it a fit if you want a spacious, comfortable full-size SUV with a distinctly upscale feel. With 34.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Cadillac Escalade reliable?

Owners rate it 4.29/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also leans toward dependable day-to-day use, with praise for the Escalade’s comfort, features, and overall value. At the same time, some owners mention maintenance costs that can rise after a few years, so long-term ownership risk is worth factoring into your budget if you’re buying used.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Cadillac Escalade?

At 56.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for signs of wear that could affect a large luxury SUV’s long-term ownership costs. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and how well the vehicle’s electronics and comfort features are working.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Cadillac Escalade?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 889 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.27% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,314, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Cadillac Escalade's resale value?

The current average of $24,348 sits slightly below last year's $26,542.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can matter if you plan to resell in a few years. A lower entry price can help you limit depreciation exposure, but future resale will still depend on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Strong equipment and broad appeal can help support demand, especially in the luxury SUV segment.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.29/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Cadillac Escalade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.29/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of price, features, and owner satisfaction, the 2017 is the primary year to target. It makes sense if you value the Escalade’s upscale cabin and tech-rich setup and want to buy into a softer market. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower-priced alternative gives you similar equipment for less money.
