The owner feedback highlights a comfortable, spacious, and quiet SUV that many people feel good about living with over time. That kind of praise suggests the Enclave can be a dependable choice if you prioritize comfort and a settled driving experience.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and has no hidden condition issues.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Buick Enclave?

At 62.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with accident records. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of body panels, alignment, and interior wear so you can judge how well the vehicle has been repaired and maintained.

Because this model is a family hauler, focus on overall condition, not just mileage or price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Buick Enclave?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without waiting forever.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 994 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.35% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,838, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Buick Enclave's resale value?

The current average of $11,838 sits slightly below last year's $13,204.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a better entry point now. For future resale, a lower purchase price can reduce your downside if you keep the vehicle in strong condition and avoid overpaying today.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Buick Enclave or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $16,134, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $11,838 average.
• The redesign brings a more modern look, more power, and less weight.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2017 is the smarter starting point because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer redesign, the 2018 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritize a more modern package over upfront savings.
