Used 2017 BMW 6 Series for Sale near New York

How much does the 2017 BMW 6 Series cost?

Prices have softened 6.17% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 148 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 BMW 6 Series a good car?

Yes — the 2017 BMW 6 Series earns a 4.88/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its stylish design, strong performance, comfort, and handling, and they often describe it as a blend of sports car and luxury. That makes it a good fit if you want something distinctive and rewarding rather than purely practical. With 37.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a compelling price if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 BMW 6 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 4.88/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback highlights a car that owners tend to enjoy over time because it feels stylish, powerful, comfortable, and fun to drive. That kind of repeat praise for dependable enjoyment matters when you are considering a used luxury car. For long-term ownership, you should still expect higher upkeep risk than with a simpler mainstream vehicle, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 BMW 6 Series?

At 56.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury model where repair costs can climb quickly if something has been neglected. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of wear that could hint at expensive future ownership.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 BMW 6 Series?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 148 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.17% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,015, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 BMW 6 Series's resale value?

The current average of $22,027 sits slightly below last year's $23,475.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the same trend means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. Well-kept examples should hold up better than neglected ones because shoppers in this segment tend to reward presentation and history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 BMW 6 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is the right pick if you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction and current market softness, especially if you can find a clean, well-kept example. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained car rather than the newest badge, since condition and history matter more than a small model-year difference in this segment.
