Is the 2017 Audi A6 reliable?

Owners also describe it as having high-quality electronics and a premium feel, which supports its appeal for everyday use. At the same time, feedback points to high maintenance costs and some performance issues, including engine leaks and handling concerns. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk can be meaningful if the car has not been maintained carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Audi A6?

At 60.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a shop that knows luxury sedans. Focus on signs of prior bodywork, electronic glitches, and evidence of deferred maintenance, since condition and service history matter a lot on a car like this.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Audi A6?

This looks like a moderate buyer's market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 583 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.01% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,357, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Audi A6's resale value?

The current average of $14,357 sits slightly below last year's $15,778.

That price movement suggests the 2017 A6 has already absorbed some of its depreciation, which can help you if you're buying now and may soften the blow if you sell later. Still, the current market shows that buyers are price-sensitive, so a well-kept example with strong service records should hold up better than one with questionable history. If you plan to resell, condition and maintenance documentation will matter a lot more than mileage alone.

Should I buy a 2017 Audi A6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.01% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a good primary target if you want a well-equipped, refined luxury sedan at a softer price point than newer examples. If you're especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented car rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
