How much does the 2017 Acura TLX cost?

There are 470 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and conditions.

Is the 2017 Acura TLX a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the smooth ride, fast performance, and beautiful interior, and they also like the responsive handling in sport mode and the way it absorbs bumpy roads. For you, that means this TLX fits well if you want a premium sport sedan that balances comfort with a more engaging drive. With 30.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Acura TLX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling driving experience, with praise for the smooth ride and the car’s ability to handle rough pavement well. At the same time, some drivers noted transmission behavior they did not like, especially in eco and normal modes, so long-term ownership risk is worth weighing carefully on any used example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Acura TLX?

At 52.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. Put the transmission behavior high on your inspection list, especially if you plan to drive in eco or normal modes. Focus on overall condition, service records, and how the car feels on a test drive, since those details matter more when the market includes a sizable share of accident-affected listings.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Acura TLX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what to look for.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 470 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.89% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 52.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,350, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $15,546 sits slightly below last year's $16,175.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and maintenance history than on broad market momentum. Well-kept examples should hold up better than average, especially if they present cleanly and drive well.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.89% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,721, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $15,546 average.
• It emphasizes Acura’s effort to blend driving appeal with upscale character.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $18,414, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $15,546 average.
• It adds a redesigned face, faster infotainment, retuned transmissions, and extra standard safety.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2017 if you want the best balance of price, owner satisfaction, and current market availability. If your priority is saving money, the 2016 is the better value path. If you want newer features and are willing to pay more, the 2018 is the stronger upgrade choice.
