How much does the 2017 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 7.54% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,180 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2017 Acura MDX a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Acura MDX earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxury feel, spacious interior, and safety features, and many also like the smooth ride and available third row. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a three-row luxury SUV that balances family practicality with an upscale cabin. With 33.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful shopping opportunity.

Is the 2017 Acura MDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights a dependable ownership experience, with many drivers describing the MDX as a vehicle they trust for daily use and family duty. The combination of strong satisfaction, comfort, and safety-focused design supports the idea that this model year can be a trouble-free long-term choice when maintained well. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about the overall reputation and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Acura MDX?

At 61.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing has any accident history or incomplete service records. Focus your condition check on the cabin, electronics, and overall wear, since those areas matter most in a luxury SUV like this.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Acura MDX?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,180 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.54% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,095, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $17,095 sits slightly below last year's $18,488.

That price movement suggests the MDX has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and maintain it well, you may be better positioned when it is time to sell. Demand should also benefit from the model’s strong owner satisfaction and family-friendly appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,413, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $17,095 average.
• It emphasizes safety, athleticism, and refinement as its core appeal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2017 if you want the stronger overall value proposition, especially with the price drop and solid owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2016 is the better budget-conscious alternative, but you should weigh that savings against the 2017’s broader appeal and market momentum.
