How much does the 2016 Volvo XC60 cost?

There are 509 listings available, which gives you a moderate amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Volvo XC60 a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Volvo XC60 earns a 4.89/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its comfort, handling, and luxurious features, and they also like the smooth ride and spacious interior. That fits well if you want a premium compact crossover that emphasizes safety and everyday usability more than the latest gadgetry. With 33.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Volvo XC60 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.89/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also highlights reliable performance and a trouble-free ownership experience, alongside the XC60’s comfort and smooth ride. That combination suggests you can feel reasonably confident about long-term ownership if the vehicle has been maintained well. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about the condition of the specific example you choose.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Volvo XC60?

At 64.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership history before you commit. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on the body, suspension, electronics, and interior condition. Because this model is valued for comfort and refinement, you’ll want to focus on signs of wear that could undermine the premium feel you’re paying for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Volvo XC60?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 509 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.56% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,018, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Volvo XC60's resale value?

The current average of $11,018 sits slightly below last year's $12,459.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make resale a little less favorable than it was a year ago. If you buy now, your future selling price will likely depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. A well-kept XC60 should still appeal to shoppers who want a comfortable, safety-focused luxury crossover.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.89/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Volvo XC60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.89/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2016 if you want a well-liked XC60 with strong owner satisfaction and a softer price environment than last year. If you’re especially price-sensitive, it also makes sense to compare nearby model years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
