## Why it stands out
The 2016 Volkswagen e-Golf stands out for its blend of quality construction, performance, and user-friendly technology features. It's the only Golf model still assembled in Germany, providing a unique sense of quality that drivers appreciate. With its electric drivetrain delivering a quiet, comfortable ride, many users enjoy its strong handling and overall performance, despite noting concerns about its range—EPA-rated at 83 miles but often falling short in real-world use. The car's instant torque allows for swift acceleration, making it well-suited for both city commuting and highway merging.
Notably, VW has made the e-Golf more accessible with a lower-priced base trim that comes well-equipped with features like keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, and a 6.5-inch touchscreen infused with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. Though the technology may be somewhat stripped down in the base SE model compared to the SEL variant, many find the standard offerings sufficient for everyday use. The spacious interior and cargo space—22.8 cubic feet in the trunk—make it practical for both solo drivers and families alike.
Some limitations exist, including a call for more advanced features and concerns over the actual range when driving aggressively. Despite these minor drawbacks, the e-Golf remains a compelling choice for those looking for an affordable electric vehicle with a good amount of standard equipment and the reputable build quality associated with Volkswagen.

4.7 Overall rating
(8 reviews)I absolutely love this E-Golf. It is super comfortable, very quiet, and has everything I could ever want to have in a car. The only complaint I have is the range. It is rated at roughly 120 miles per charge, but realistically it will get 80 to 90 miles with traffic and different weather/temperature.
The Car is a great little EV - only thing missing is motorized folding mirrors.
Excellent handling, strong electric engine, it is a Golf!
Feature: its a VW Value: its a Golf Missing: GTi EV Compared to: Nissan
Love everything about it except the range anxiety inducing range. However, as long as your aware of your range and distance of travel your fine. Give yourself a solid 5-10mi window and ignore the warnings your be fine.
