Is the 2016 Porsche Panamera a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2016 Porsche Panamera. The overview points to a second-generation redesign that made the car look more like a Porsche while keeping its generous passenger space and everyday practicality. It also highlights a modernized cabin, strong performance across the range, and a mix of luxury and usability that fits well if you want a four-door performance car with real daily-driver appeal. With 35.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Porsche Panamera reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a well-rounded formula built around proven gasoline power, an eight-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission, and a practical luxury layout. For used buyers, that means your biggest long-term ownership risk is less about the concept and more about finding a well-kept example that has been maintained properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Porsche Panamera?

At 71.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on the body, electronics, and interior condition, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been preserved. Focus on signs of wear that could undermine the car’s premium feel, because condition matters a lot when you’re shopping a luxury performance sedan.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Porsche Panamera?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 190 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.69% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 71.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,084, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Porsche Panamera's resale value?

The current average of $25,084 sits slightly below last year's $26,596.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point if you plan to hold the car for a while. For a future seller, that also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. A clean, well-documented example should be easier to move than one with accident history or visible wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Porsche Panamera or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $41,734, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $25,084 average.
• It brings an all-new second-generation redesign with stronger performance and updated technology.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2016 is the smarter starting point because it combines a lower average price with strong satisfaction and decent deal availability. If you’re willing to pay more for the newer redesign and updated tech, the 2017 is the upgrade path; if price matters most, stay focused on the 2016.
