Used 2016 Porsche Macan for Sale near New York

How much does the 2016 Porsche Macan cost?

Prices have softened 10.67% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 710 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2016 Porsche Macan a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Porsche Macan earns a 5/5 user rating, and its overview points to a compact SUV that prioritizes driving enjoyment, nimble handling, and a high-quality interior. It also offers all-wheel drive, a seven-speed PDK automatic transmission, and a performance-focused lineup that ranges from the accessible four-cylinder to stronger V6 versions. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want a premium SUV with sporty character rather than maximum interior space. The market also shows 34.1% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2016 Porsche Macan reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview describes a strong reliability record, which is encouraging if you want a used luxury SUV that has held up well over time. That said, you should still expect the usual used-car variables, especially on higher-mileage examples or more heavily optioned versions. For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about the model’s basic reputation and more about how well a specific vehicle has been maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Porsche Macan?

At 66.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with accident records. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on body condition, signs of prior repair, and overall maintenance quality. Because this model is positioned as a premium performance SUV, condition matters a lot when you compare similarly priced listings.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Porsche Macan?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 710 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.67% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 66.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,165, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Porsche Macan's resale value?

The current average of $17,165 sits slightly below last year's $19,215.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned than someone who pays near the top of the range. The model’s premium positioning and strong demand for sporty compact SUVs can still support future interest from shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong choice if you want the Macan’s sporty character and you can verify condition carefully. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year with lower pricing may be worth considering, but the 2016 stands out as a balanced pick when you want a well-liked version with meaningful market availability.
