How much does the 2016 Porsche Cayenne cost?

Prices have softened 10.55% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 529 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and condition.

Is the 2016 Porsche Cayenne a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Porsche Cayenne earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its sports car-like handling and comfortable interior, and many also feel it offers good value given its features and towing capacity. In practical terms, that makes it a strong fit if you want a sporty, upscale SUV experience rather than maximum cargo space or efficiency. With 35.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Porsche Cayenne reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as a reliable, dependable SUV with sturdy construction, and the model has a reputation for being one of the more trouble-free choices in the luxury SUV class. That said, long-term ownership risk for used buyers still depends heavily on maintenance history, since expensive upkeep can turn a good purchase into a costly one.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Porsche Cayenne?

At 67.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on overall condition, signs of past bodywork, and whether maintenance has been kept up consistently. Because this model can carry high ownership costs, you’ll want to prioritize examples with clean records and evidence of careful upkeep.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Porsche Cayenne?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 529 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.55% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 67.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,081, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Porsche Cayenne's resale value?

The current average of $18,126 sits slightly below last year's $20,264.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more selectively now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you’re thinking about future value, condition and maintenance history matter a lot because well-kept examples are easier to move later. Strong owner satisfaction also helps keep demand steady for this model.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Porsche Cayenne or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong choice if you want the Cayenne’s core mix of performance, refinement, and owner satisfaction at a softer market price. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare it with nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.
