Is the 2016 Nissan 370Z reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also points to a reputation for reliability, along with a car that owners feel is dependable enough to enjoy over time. For used buyers, that usually means lower ownership anxiety than you might expect from a performance coupe, though condition still matters because individual examples can vary.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Nissan 370Z?

At 51.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of body panels, alignment, and signs of uneven wear, since condition can matter more than mileage alone on a sports car like this. It also makes sense to focus on how the car has been maintained and whether any modifications were done carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Nissan 370Z?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 165 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.82% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 51.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,969, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Nissan 370Z's resale value?

The current average of $19,969 sits slightly below last year's $20,549.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that value retention will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and whether the car has a clean history. A well-kept example should still attract interest because this model has a strong enthusiast following.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Nissan 370Z or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.82% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a solid choice if you want a well-liked, enthusiast-focused sports car and you can be selective about condition. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby year may still work, but the 2016 gives you a strong mix of owner satisfaction and current market value.
