At 62.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on every candidate and prioritize listings with clean records and consistent maintenance. Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 819 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.13% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,983, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $15,983 sits slightly below last year's $17,784.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and avoid overpaying now, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss later. Demand should remain supported by the model’s strong owner satisfaction and premium reputation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2016 if you want the strongest mix of current value, owner satisfaction, and available inventory. If you are especially price-sensitive, a different nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2016 remains a sensible primary target when you want a luxury SUV with broad market support and a softer price point.
