How much does the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC cost?

Prices have softened 12.30% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 563 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It is a five-seat compact SUV that emphasizes on-road comfort and refinement, while also offering improved rear-seat space and a larger cargo area compared with the GLK. It also feels more like a premium car than a traditional SUV thanks to its shared platform with the C-Class and its generous standard equipment. There are 33.7% good or great deals in the market, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2016 GLC does have a mixed reliability reputation, with reported suspension and electrical issues, along with piston and cylinder problems on some GLC 300 models. That means you should treat condition and maintenance history as especially important if you plan to keep the vehicle for the long haul.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

At 63.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put the inspection focus on suspension, electrical systems, and engine condition, since those are the areas most worth scrutinizing on this model. You should also pay close attention to overall wear, because a premium SUV like this can hide expensive issues if you only judge it by appearance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and some pricing softness to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 563 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.30% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,871, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC's resale value?

The current average of $12,871 sits slightly below last year's $14,676.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. If you sell later, the biggest factor will be how well the vehicle has been maintained and documented, since buyers in this segment tend to be selective. A clean history and strong condition should help you stand out when it is time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $15,328, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $12,871 average.
• It is presented as a strong contender that balances luxury-crossover polish with a compact footprint.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2016 is the primary path because it combines a lower average price with solid shopper interest. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model year, the 2017 is the secondary path to consider.
