How much does the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC cost?

There are 568 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC a good car?

Yes — with a user rating of 5/5, it lands strongly with shoppers who value a premium compact SUV feel. The 2016 GLC stands out as Mercedes-Benz’s more successful answer to the compact luxury SUV formula, with a longer, sleeker shape that improves style and practicality. It offers more rear-seat space and a larger boot than the GLK, while staying focused on on-road comfort and refinement rather than hardcore off-road ability. That makes it a strong fit if you want a polished, useful luxury SUV without a flashy personality.

34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The main caution is that it does not have an especially stellar reputation for reliability, so you should treat condition and maintenance history as especially important. For used buyers, that means the long-term ownership risk is more about avoiding a neglected example than assuming every GLC will age the same way.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a qualified mechanic. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the vehicle has been maintained consistently, since those details matter more when you’re shopping a premium SUV with mixed reliability expectations.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 568 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.30% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,328, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC's resale value?

The current average of $13,328 sits slightly below last year's $14,534.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable level, but it also suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation. If you plan to resell later, your best protection is buying a clean, well-kept example at the right price so you have less value to lose from the start. A strong maintenance record should matter to future shoppers, especially in a premium SUV segment where condition and confidence drive demand.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $15,638, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $13,328 average.
• It sharpens the GLC’s appeal with a more competitive overall package.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2016 is the smarter starting point because it combines lower pricing with solid deal availability. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model year, the 2017 is the better secondary path for buyers who want to compare a fresher option before deciding.
