How much does the 2016 Honda CR-V cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 3,978 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Honda CR-V a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its reliability, comfortable interior, and good fuel economy, and they also value the spaciousness and useful features that make it easy to live with every day. That fits a practical compact crossover like this one, especially if you want a roomy, comfort-focused SUV for daily use and family hauling. With 31.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback highlights reliability, dependable ownership, and a trouble-free feel, along with praise for its long-term value and low-cost ownership reputation. That kind of response suggests you can count on it for everyday use if the specific vehicle has been maintained well.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about the condition of the individual example you choose.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Honda CR-V?

At 58.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership patterns before you go any further. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on body panels, alignment, tires, and suspension, since those areas can reveal past damage or wear. Focus your condition check on the cabin, visibility, and ride quality so you know whether the vehicle still matches the practical, comfortable experience you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Honda CR-V?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,978 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,930, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $15,375 sits slightly above last year's $15,363.

That small increase suggests the market has stayed stable, which is helpful if you plan to resell later. A steady price pattern usually means you are less likely to face a sharp drop in value over a short ownership period. The CR-V’s strong owner satisfaction also helps support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $14,223, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $15,375 average.
• It emphasizes practicality, reliability, and a polished everyday driving feel.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $17,313, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $15,375 average.
• It adds a redesigned look with stronger all-around appeal and more modern features.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2016 if you want a balanced mix of price, satisfaction, and inventory. If your budget is tighter, the 2015 is the better value play; if you want to spend more for a newer redesign, the 2017 is the upgrade path.
