Is the 2016 Ford Fusion Hybrid a good car?

With a moderate market verdict, this model year sits in a middle ground that can work well if you want to balance price and selection. What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Ford Fusion Hybrid?

At 61.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any promising listing and confirm whether prior damage was cosmetic or structural. Put inspection priority on body panels, alignment, tire wear, and signs of uneven repair work so you can judge condition beyond the asking price. If a car looks especially well priced, make sure the condition supports it before moving forward.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Ford Fusion Hybrid?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you focus on the better listings.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 175 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.23% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,458, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Ford Fusion Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $9,740 sits slightly below last year's $9,962.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today, but it also means future resale may depend heavily on how well you preserve the car’s condition. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain a clean history, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell. A well-kept example will likely stand out more if the broader market remains price-sensitive.

Should I buy a 2016 Ford Fusion Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.23% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want a used hybrid with a moderate price point and enough listings to compare, the 2016 is a reasonable place to start. You should prioritize clean history and strong condition over simply chasing the lowest sticker price. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, history, and asking price.
