What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Chrysler 300?

At 51.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage or repeated claims. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for signs of alignment issues, dashboard alerts, or deferred maintenance. Focus on overall condition and service history, because neglected examples can be more expensive to own.

Should I buy a 2016 Chrysler 300 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 25.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $13,788, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $12,272 average.
• It adds updated appearance packages and a faster Uconnect system.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2016 if you want the better value and are willing to shop condition carefully. If you can stretch your budget, the 2017 is the better secondary path for buyers who want a slightly newer feel and updated features.
