Used 2016 BMW 4 Series for Sale nearColumbia, SC

How much does the 2016 BMW 4 Series cost?

Prices have softened 4.78% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 850 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2016 BMW 4 Series a good car?

Yes — the 4.6/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its luxury feel, comfort, sporty performance, and appealing styling, while also noting good fuel efficiency. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a stylish, driver-focused luxury coupe or convertible with a polished feel and broad appeal. With 34.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2016 BMW 4 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a generally dependable ownership experience, with drivers describing the car as reliable and enjoyable over time. At the same time, some owners mention maintenance concerns and prior damage, so long-term ownership risk is more about condition and upkeep than the model’s basic appeal. For used buyers, that means a well-documented service history matters a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 BMW 4 Series?

At 51.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should be a priority, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or a car with a premium trim package. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of deferred repairs, since those factors can matter more than the badge alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 BMW 4 Series?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 850 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.78% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 51.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,685, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 BMW 4 Series's resale value?

The current average of $14,752 sits slightly below last year's $15,493.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, that also means resale value will depend heavily on how well the car is maintained and presented. Clean history, strong condition, and desirable equipment should matter more when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 BMW 4 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $13,737, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $14,752 average.
• It offers a distinctive, driver-focused design with strong visual appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced choice, the 2016 is the stronger primary pick because it combines solid owner satisfaction, a softer price trend, and a healthy inventory pool. If your budget is tighter, the 2015 is the better secondary path because it can save you money while still delivering the core 4 Series style and driving character.
