How much does the 2016 BMW 2 Series cost?

There are 355 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 BMW 2 Series a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 5/5, and that lines up with the strong satisfaction reflected in the review summary. You get a model that owners praise for its power, handling, and sporty feel, while still keeping daily driving usability in the mix. For you, that makes it a good fit if you want an entry-level premium car with real enthusiast appeal and practical everyday manners. With 31.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 BMW 2 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary points to a car that owners describe as dependable in the sense that it delivers the driving experience they expected over time, with strong praise for its overall ownership experience. The main ownership cautions are the premium-fuel requirement and high maintenance costs, which matter more as the miles add up. For used buyers, that means long-term risk is less about basic satisfaction and more about budgeting carefully for upkeep.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 BMW 2 Series?

At 54.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you get serious about any listing, especially if the price looks unusually attractive. Put inspection priority on body condition, signs of prior repair, and how well the car has been maintained. Because this model is performance-oriented, you should also focus on wear items and overall condition rather than just mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 BMW 2 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 355 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.11% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 54.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,701, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 BMW 2 Series's resale value?

The current average of $16,032 sits slightly below last year's $16,895.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. If you plan to sell later, the current trend means your upside may depend more on condition, mileage, and maintenance history than on broad market appreciation. Well-kept examples should still hold attention because this model has a clear enthusiast following.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 BMW 2 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $14,919, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $16,032 average.
• It emphasizes sharp handling and driver-focused dynamics.

The bottom line: you should lean toward the 2016 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2015 is the better value-oriented alternative.
