Used 2016 Audi Q3 for Sale near Connecticut

How much does the 2016 Audi Q3 cost?

Prices have softened 7.74% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 447 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Audi Q3 a good car?

Generally — the 2016 Audi Q3 earns a 4/5 user rating and a 6/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 8/10.

It fits best if you want Audi’s smallest SUV, a compact footprint, a quiet cabin, and a premium feel without moving up to the Q5 or Q7. The tradeoff is that it is fairly stripped down, so you should expect its appeal to come more from core virtues than from a long list of extras.

The market also shows 38.7% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2016 Audi Q3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Q3’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is described as responsive and refined, and the six-speed automatic helps it launch quickly and smoothly. The ride is hushed and isolated, and the brakes are strong in both pedal feel and stopping power.

The Q3’s long-term ownership risk is mostly about whether you’re comfortable with a compact luxury SUV that prioritizes refinement over breadth of features, since that can make it feel dated or limited as mileage and age add up.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Audi Q3?

At 63.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then put extra inspection time into bodywork, panel alignment, and signs of prior repair. Because this model is fairly stripped down, condition matters even more than feature count, so focus on how well the cabin, electronics, and drivetrain have held up.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin is described as clean and citified, but also boring and basic, and the standard setup can feel sparse without the Technology package. The Prestige trim adds the Technology package, a power tailgate, larger 19-inch wheels, LED headlamps, and a 14-speaker Bose stereo.
• Powertrain: The 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder delivers 200 hp with minimal lag, and the 6-speed automatic helps it feel quick and smooth. The Q3 is also noted for a hushed, isolated ride and lively, direct steering.
• Safety package: The Technology package adds blind-spot monitoring and a color display. The Q3 does not offer a collision warning system, and it also lacks knee airbags.
• Infotainment: Without the Technology package, there is not much happening inside, and even the instrument panel display is monochrome. The package adds navigation with traffic overlays, Audi Connect, onboard Wi-Fi, local fuel prices, parking info, and weather.
• Fuel efficiency: The Q3 is EPA-rated at 20 mpg city and 28 highway, and the test vehicle returned 23 mpg.

Which 2016 Audi Q3 trim should I buy?

The 2016 Audi Q3 is offered in 3 trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus, Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Q3’s core Audi feel at the lowest cost, but it is also the most limited in equipment.
• Premium Plus: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds more of the convenience and luxury equipment that helps the Q3 feel worth considering in the first place.
• Prestige: Choose this if you want the most complete Q3, including the Technology package, power tailgate, larger wheels, LED headlamps, and the 14-speaker Bose stereo.

The safety package note is important here: the Technology package adds blind-spot monitoring and a color display, but the Q3 still does not offer a collision warning system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Audi Q3?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 447 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.74% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,349, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Audi Q3's resale value?

The current average of $11,390 sits slightly below last year's $12,345.

That decline suggests the Q3 has already absorbed some of its near-term depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it’s time to resell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2016 Audi Q3 safe?

The 2016 Audi Q3 is a 2015 Top Safety Pick as rated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and scored the top Good rating in all five crash tests.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The Q3’s safety content notes that it no longer qualifies for 2016 because it does not offer a collision warning system. The Technology package adds blind-spot monitoring and a color display, but the model still lacks knee airbags.

Should I buy a 2016 Audi Q3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2016 model year brings a mild exterior refresh and keeps the Q3’s compact, premium, and quiet character intact.

The bottom line: If you want the Q3’s compact size, refined cabin, and lower entry price, the 2016 is the right year to target. If you’re shopping mainly on value and want more equipment for the money, you should also compare it with other years and be especially selective about trim and condition.
