Is the 2016 Audi A6 reliable?

The owner feedback also points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with praise centered on comfort, performance, and the kind of premium experience you can count on over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure you choose a well-kept example, since condition and maintenance history matter more than the badge alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Audi A6?

At 61.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention to body condition, panel alignment, and signs of past repairs. Because the model’s appeal depends heavily on premium feel and technology, you should also focus on interior condition and make sure the features you care about work properly.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile opportunities.

What is the 2016 Audi A6's resale value?

The current average of $13,042 sits slightly below last year's $13,822.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. For you as a future seller, that means condition, mileage, and maintenance records will matter even more when it comes time to stand out. A well-kept example should still hold appeal because shoppers in this segment tend to value comfort, features, and premium presentation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Audi A6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

If you want the strongest balance of price, owner satisfaction, and current market softness, the 2016 is the primary year to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a cleaner or better-equipped example offers better value for a similar outlay, but the 2016 already gives you a compelling mix of demand, inventory, and buyer confidence.
